Entry for August 08, 2008 Loreena McKennitt
I recently posted on my blast a song by Loreena McKennitt, called Mummer's Dance, and my Daddie said she liked it a lot.
I like a lot of her stuff, especially the more modern neo-celtic songs. Mummer's Dance was from her The Book of Secrets cd. Several of her songs have been on soundtracks for movies and tv.
Besides Mummer's Dance, on that cd I also like the following:

and Night Ride Across the Caucasus http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mz6EFiXbcT8
her other cd I really enjoy is An Ancient Muse and the songs I like from that are:

(too cool! found a clip from 300 to go with it!)
The Gates of Istanbul http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiKxKZEDPFk

and

so, turn off the lights, get the candles and wine out, and have a nice night.
